NAMA Announces Spring Conference, New Logo

March 1, 2021 – Registration opens for NAMA’s virtual Spring Conference today, March 1. The conference will kick off with the NAMA Technical Committee meeting on Friday, April 16. The NAMA soft wheat, corn and oat divisions will meet virtually on Monday, April 19 and Tuesday, April 20 in the afternoon prior to the general sessions.

“NAMA’s Spring Conference is something we all look forward to each year to connect with colleagues and gain new perspectives on the issues impacting our industry,” said NAMA Chairman D. Ford Mennel, Mennel Milling. “Given the uncertainty of the pandemic, I’m glad that NAMA is able to provide this virtual forum for its members at such an important time for the agriculture and food supply chain.”

The Monday, April 19 general session will feature IRI Executive Vice President & Practice Leader of Client Insights, Sally Lyons Wyatt, sharing what the industry should expect from post-COVID retail consumer demand and Dale Nellor, NAMA’s Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs, leading a panel of industry representatives discussing food safety culture.

On Tuesday, April 20, Debbie Reed from the Ecosystem Services Market Consortium will educate participants on emerging carbon and water quality markets, a hot topic among policymakers in D.C. today. Tuesday will also feature the world oat outlook, as well as the soft wheat crop report and forecast, both regular features of the NAMA Spring Conference.

March 1 also marks the official roll out of NAMA’s new logo.
