Top 10 Markets for U.S. Milled Products Exports: Continued Growth


USDA’s June 2021 data indicates continued growth of U.S. agricultural exports for milled products compared to the same period last year. The chart below shows the overall exports and top 10 export destinations during January – June for both 2020 and 2021. 

During January – June 2021, exports to all destinations reached $310.3 million, more than 9 percent higher than the $283.2 million recorded during the same period in 2020. The top 10 market destinations for exports remained the same, with Mexico as the largest market with $109.9 million for the January-June 2021 period, followed by Canada with $75.2 million. Of the top 10 export destinations, five of them are significant markets for U.S. food assistance distributions and three of these countries – Ethiopia, Congo (Kinshaha), and Nigeria – are in the top five export markets.
